Don’t Just Fly, Be A Pilot!

Gobosh and 182 Departure

To all of our Friends and Customers,

On Friday, January 15th 2010, Hemet Flight Center was informed both the Gobosh and 182 would no longer be available for use by the Hemet Flight Center.  This is due to the economic distress experienced by the entire country and us all over the last 18 months; the aircraft owners can no longer tolerate the added expense of maintaining and insuring their aircraft in the training and rental market.

The last day for the use of either aircraft was by the initial agreement to be February 15th, 2010. Due to an upcoming renewal of the insurance policy covering the aircraft that date has been accelerated the aircraft will now not be available for use after January 27th 2010.

Currently the Gobosh remains grounded pending either the receipt of a new proprietary fuel filter from Gobsh or clearance to operate by Wayne Fleming at Southland Rotax as per the aircraft owners’ directions. The most recent discussion allows that once either is received Hemet Flight Center will be allowed to place the aircraft back into service until January 28th 2010.

Hemet Flight Center, apologizes for the short notice of this unavoidable occurrence. We are exploring the full impact of this action and alternative pathways for our students and customers to complete their desired training. We will provide additional information, as it is available.

Regards,
