Suspended Operations
To All of our Friends and Customers,
It is with great sadness that I must inform you that The Hemet Flight Center has suspended all operations effective immediately. This was not an easy decision nor was it made without emotion.
As many of you know the flight center has been struggling to remain a viable business and sustain operations despite the downward spiral of the economy. This downturn has affected us all. With the drastic decline in the number of flight operations and the diminished demand for pilot training we can no longer sustain the rising costs associated with the operation of the flight center.
We are in negotiation with two separate individuals who wish to take over the operation. We hope that some resolution, which will allow for continued availability of aircraft rental and flight training can be reached over the course of the next few weeks. Our desire is to allow one of these individuals to take control as soon as reasonably possible. The majority of instructors on staff should remain unchanged and allow you to remain with your trusted instructor.
We understand there are many questions. We simply do not have all the answers at this moment in time. We greatly appreciate each and every one of our customers, many have become good friends. We ask that you remain supportive of the efforts to bring in a new operator, as well as patience during this transition. We are striving to make this transition as smoothly as can be allowed.
Should these efforts fail our intention is to liquidate the assets of Hemet Flight Center and settle our accounts utilizing the proceeds from the sale.
We will continue to inform you of any progress as it is made.
Bill Harris
